Gathering Embers

Gathering Embers

(Women’s StoryWork Group)

Come in, love.
Shake off the cold.
This is a place for what still glows beneath the surface—for the stories that shaped you, the fire you thought had gone out, and the pieces of yourself waiting to be seen.

In this circle, we gather the embers.
The soft, smoldering remnants of old truths, fierce ache, quiet beauty, and the parts of your past that still hum in your bones.
We’ll meet them through body-led writing, unruly art, sacred rest, and rituals that don’t ask you to be neat—only real.

Bring your hesitation.
Bring your fire.
Bring your whole self—wild, weary, wondering.

You're not too much. You're not too late. You're here. And in this space, that’s everything!

Let’s gather what still burns.
Let’s remember. Let’s become.
Together.

We’ve come together to tend what still glows.
The stories we carry, the fire we’ve held, the parts of us that want to be seen—we bring them here.

Through shared ritual, art, and reflection, we’ll gather what remains, name what’s been forgotten, and honor what’s ready to rise.

We don’t have to be ready—just willing.
Together, we’ll keep the fire.

“The past is the place we develop our deepest convictions about ourselves, life, and God. One cannot enter another’s past merely by hearing the conclusions and convictions that resulted from it but by being invited into the story itself... When one is permitted into this terrain, the guest stands on holy ground.”

— Dan Allender
